Ricky Shuford is about to lose his greasy spoon diner to a condominium development. He needs money and fast. When two strangers offer to buy the diner's jukebox, head waitress Crystal suspects they’re undercover Feds targeting Ricky’s unlicensed TV broadcasts. However, the visitors reveal themselves as alien rebels from Planet Kepler 22-b. They want the jukebox because its illegal VHF equipment will disguise their revolutionary broadcasts.
