The fact that this can put out 768x1024 images with decent quality in about 30 seconds on my old 8GB GTX-1080 is pretty amazing. In that regard, it rivals SD1.5 for image generation. The reason for a 4 star review is that this model fails on almost all samplers other than DPM++ SDE. Every other sampler I've tried produces horrible looking images. I thought it was a VAE thing, but no. It's the Sampler. If you're having trouble getting good results, make sure you're setting your sampler to DPM++ SDE. Set Samples to 4 and CFG to 2. Once I did that, the images looked great, and the high-res fix produced outstanding results. This model also works great in Image2Image, producing outstanding results on high-res images in a fraction of the time it would normally take. I found that I was able to create images with a fairly low res in t2i, then send those to i2i to get quick variations, then a final re-run through i2i to get an upscaled version. This workflow is as fast if not faster than SD1.5 with highres fix.
