Tarot cards: Wheel of Fortune

This is one of those cases where I had a specific vision, but the AI failed to follow it. I was aiming for a roulette wheel, for the obvious pun on the card name.

I suppose that to represent a modernized Fortuna, a card game operator will have to do.

The AI quickly hit a great composition with great use of colors, but the details were a complete train wreck, with too many fingers on her hand, and a roulette wheel broken in half behind her. I rerolled the txt2img for a while, but nothing else came even close to this.

So with a heavy sigh, detailing it was. This one took about 1.5 hours.

Surprisingly, the hand inpainted on the first try. But fixing the background was a symphony of pain.

I initially tried to have the scene raining playing cards to give the image some dynamism, but it turns out Illustrious isn't capable enough of drawing reasonable-looking playing cards, even fully zoomed in for inpainting.

I thought I might be able to paste in some public-domain card images and perspective-distort them in GIMP, but turns out that wasn't necessary. The image actually looks better without any playing cards in the air.
