St. Patricks Day 2024

Enjoy an assortment of St. Patrick's Day inspired pieces. While I did invoke the obligatory leprechaun, I wanted to honor St. Patrick himself and the legends of Ireland. I'm not of Irish decent myself but I enjoyed learning about Irish culture and creating this artistic interpretations. I attempted to explore some lesser known portions of the tales facets.

Here's a list of the different themes explored:

1. Illustrated manuscripts

2. St. Patrick in stained glass

3. Leprechaun and his golden beetle and rainbow portals

4. The purpose and builders of Stonehenge

5. A selkie at the moment of emergence from her seal form

6. Kelpie in its' lair with true form revelated

I had a lot of fun creating these and hope you enjoy them too.

The Book of Kells as a known work and St. Patrick as a known figure were used. Aside from those listed no other specific art, artists or groups were used as prompts.
