Okay, so what even is this? Why is the background white?

I am doing a little project currently and needed a simple picture of Spector (OC from my pfp. Yes, that name is very original xD) looking to the side. Funnily enough, this picture is not what I have been searching for BUT it turned out to be so cool that I decided to post it here :P
