Anima Test with Akane
Stumbled upon a new Checkpoint that only showed up in the past week or so now and already is starting to get people making LoRA's and even Finetunes already for that even though this version of the Checkpoint is VERY preview build it's quite advanced for what it can do and people have even said it's what the highly disappointing Pony V7 Checkpoint that debuted last year should of been.
So I decided to play with it for a bit just to see what it's like using a LoRA of Tsunemori Akane from Psycho Pass (who kinda looks a bit off compared to her IL counterparts) and the OMORI style and after playing with the settings for a moment just so I could see something get rendered out it works quite well for what it generated trying a few of the recommended Samplers in the Read Me the Checkpoint comes with.
I'ma going to keep a bit of an eye on this Checkpoint over time to see how it evolves and if the community really wants to run with it (that already it's looking like they are a few weeks in now) but already it seems after so long Illustrious now has some true competition in the "1girl" image generation space after so long after so many setbacks from other Checkpoint projects that screwed themselves over (once again Pony V7 and the drama surrounding the production of it despite the community knowing better then the studio on what the people wanted plus REALLY filing down NSFW in the final product for example).
I'm not going to make Anima a "daily driver" for myself for quite sometime still since I'm good with Illustrious and I really don't think the community is going to up and leave Illustrious for quite sometime still but once when Anima gets more towards a final full Checkpoint model and has a decent amount of Checkpoint finetunes for it the community will start moving over and retrain their models for it and you will have Anima and Illustrious side by side for a decent amount of years as it will take quite a number of years for everybody who's interested to make the jump over.
