Godlike Warrior - workflow guide here!
Hey everyone, this is my first experiment with the InPaint controlnet model, it's great!!!
The seed i provided was only used for the initial 512x768 image, after that first txt2img generation i used a random seed.
Workflow went as follows:
txt2img 512x768 generation in batch, then picked one i liked.
Then i sent it over to img2img and used the controlnet InPaint model, first i made it 768x1024 to see how much my hardware could handle (i am using a rtx 3050m laptop).
Then sent that generation back into img2img and made it 1365x768 for a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Send that new 1365x768 image back to img2img with Tile Resample controlnet model to double the image size and add detail, made it 2752x1536.
Then doubled it once more in the same way as the previous step, but this time with ADetailer enabled, made it 5504x3072.
Now i only used just regular inpaint img2img (no controlnet) at 1024x1024 pixels to redo the helmet/face
Upscaled in the extra's tab times 2, with 4xUltrasharp model
Final step!: In Photoshop i added i little bit of glow (duplicate image to new layer, filter>gaussian blur, blend mode: hard light, or whatever works, tweak opacity and blend mode to taste), and added a little bit of noise for a slight film grain feel
I hope this workflow can help some of you that are also using weaker gpu's, you can still accomplish a lot with 4gb of vram!
