Palagiri

The Palagiri are one of Terem’s four sentient races. Avian in nature, they are covered in a layer of soft, fine feathers that are indistinguishable from fur and hair at a casual examination. Their wings, though large, aren’t especially strong and therefore aren’t capable of supporting a Palagiri in flight, with rare exception. More often they use their wings for defense, coating the tips of their feathers in a resin that, when hardened, can cut just as well as any blade. Their feet are highly dexterous, serving as hands would for most other races. They often wear protective boots/gloves, sometimes tipped with claw-like digits, providing defense against elements and enemies alike. Given their physical shape, it is sensible that most Palagiri clothing is designed to be as light and unrestrictive as possible. Many consider clothzing to be a necessary inconvenience to participate in civilized society. They cover their bodies solely for the sake of public decency, though given the lack of coverage the average Palagiri skirt provides, the efficacy is…debatable.
