The Mutated Ukrainian Ferret, Mustela pripyatus horribilis (Mph), hunts in and around the Pripyat environs within the Chornobyl Zone of Exclusion. About the size of a small canine, the carnivorous Mustela pripyatus horribilis, has a very aggressive nature and has been known to attack humans and animals much larger than itself even without being directly threatened. Mph is an agile climber and swimmer and can achieve land speeds of up to 20 kmh for short distances. Mph has been known to hunt in small packs, harrying its prey, wounding it and following it until it succumbs to blood loss. Rarely, Mph may be seen with more than one head, in addition to multiple legs, with each head and neck being able to seemingly operate as an individual unit. When encountering a Mph with multiple heads, use extreme caution (and especially do not approach) as, in addition to its aggressive behavior, a multiple head Mph is suspected of having a limited Psi ability that affects the portion of the human brain responsible for vision. The few specimens in captivity have been known to cause temporary blindness in those researchers unfortunate enough to look directly into the eyes of the captive animal for even a few moments. It is advisable to wear equipment of a similar vein to welding equipment to protect the researcher when handling the animal. If approached by Mph, retreat to a safe distance and find appropriate shelter immediately.
