Warm Cats - v1.0 Review
This creates adorable cats!!
For some, that's all they need to know in order to download it and wear it out generating one kitty after another. But if you're like me, you're not quite sold yet.
[The images in my gallery are in the order in which I generated them. The descriptions below will help you to see the process I went through when I created them. Edit: Well... I posted them in the correct order, and double-checked it and triple-checked it, but they're showing up out of order. Sorry about that.]
First off, I stuck with something simple, following the basic format of the images posted by the creator, so I created a sleeping, fat, green cat. It was cute, but I thought I could turn up the cuteness another notch.
So I made a hungry white kitten with a begging look in its eye. And I immediately regretted it. —Wait, regretted it? Well, yeah. I regret that I can't actually feed the cute kitten!! And I'm more of a dog person than a cat lover!
I had to get my mind away from the starving kitty, so then I immediately tried branching out to see just how creative this LoRA could be. First, I decided to stick with the feline family, and tried creating a white tiger cub. Easy peasy. Then I tried a lion... which mostly looks like a lion, but it has some deformities in a few places. If I played with it, I could get it.
As for the beagle hound, it looks more like a dog covered in toxic sludge. But again, that's just deformities, possibly just from the strength of the LoRA. But I'm willing to bet that if I tried that one on my system instead of doing it with the CivitAI on-site image generator, it would work out okay at least most of the time.
Next I tried a bunch of other tests using longer descriptive prompts instead of tags. Those didn't work so well. I got some good results, but not the images I had been looking for.
As mentioned above, these images were all made with the CivitAI on-site image generator, which is doing much better than it was when I first started using it, heh.
Great for furries, too!
The final image here was not made with the Warm Cats LoRA. It's an exact repeat of the image before it, but without the LoRA. I wanted to see what effect Warm Cats was having on the image. Based on this one and only one comparison, I can say that anyone who wants to make cat anthros with the Indigo Furry Mix model should consider including the Warm Cats LoRA. It adds some real character and playfulness to the output! It's possible that it would help with other types of anthros, and other models (such as FluffyRock) as well. I haven't tested those.
