Love this artist.

The idea of a near future where things absolutely alien and fantastical to us might be commonplace to them. Where fantasy and recognizable butt heads. A house you may have driven past as a child retrofitted with science fiction technology as an adult. Or a world that crumbled softly and slowly without anyone taking notice of any great catastrophe.

I think about our relationship to the past like this constantly. I think about what the world would look like to someone who would've been my father's age (he's 68 now), but died young and never got to see the 80s. 2023 would look fucking indescribable to that person.

No artist evokes that emotion in me more than Stalenhag. Can't wait to see Electric State! And also would be nice if one day they decided to continue tales from the loop :)
