The Boomer Bamboozle Contest is your chance to flex your realism skills by creating images and videos so seamlessly believable that we (and grandma) have to do a double take. The catch? The subject matter should be absurd, hilarious, or impossible.
We want your most convincingly unreal realism. If it makes grandma stop scrolling to leave a "❤️ so beautiful!" you’ve nailed it.

To throw your creations into the ring, visit the Boomer Bamboozle Contest Collection, hit the big blue ‘Submit an entry’ button, and add your masterpiece.

🔹 Entries must be generated on-site, with one, or a combination of, the following tools;

📖 The Bamboozle Brief 📖
We’re looking for:
Hyperrealism with a twist – absurd or fantastical subjects made to look totally believable (example one, example two, example three).
Seamless execution – if it feels like it could’ve been snapped on someone’s phone or filmed as a news clip, you’re on the right track.
Share-worthy oddities – anything on Facebook that would fool grandma, although that's a pretty low bar.
It doesn’t have to be funny - but if it makes us laugh, bonus.

We’re not looking for:
Straightforward realism with no twist (an image of a tree isn’t a bamboozle).
Random waifus or off-theme content.
Anything that wouldn't convince grandma.

📜 Rules 📜
All submissions must be created on or after the contest start date of September 16th 2025 and submitted before the end date of September 30th 2025 23:59 CST.
Winning entries will be chosen by the Civitai Community Team. Honorable mentions may be picked, at the Team's discretion.
Only specific (see above) on-site image and video generation tools may be used (no external submissions - this includes using the tools via another service, or directly.)
All images must be SFW (PG ratings) and adhere to our Terms of Service.
Participants may submit up to 5 total entries (image or video).
On-site img2img or image-manipulation of an image generated on-site via models which have that ability (e.g. Nano Banana) is allowed.
No Photoshop or other local image editing software.
Winners can only win in a single category; if you're picked to win the Video Prize, you won't be eligible to win the Image Prize, or vice versa.
Unfair submission manipulation, multi-accounting for extra entries, or other dishonest practices, is strictly prohibited. Participants found engaging in such activities will face immediate disqualification and a permanent ban from the website.
Generation Data Requirement: All winners will be required to post their generation data to claim their prize. You can submit images without prompts and creation information for competitive reasons, but if you are selected as a winner, you must publish that information to claim your prize.
