As a guy who can fly under the radar in a lot of situations, this morning I woke up to a comment on one of my posts that has shaken me and triggered a very real flight or fight response, part of me wanted to rage and comment back, while another part of me was ready to delete all of my files and just leave this space all together, (they are two very real if not small demons I live my life with every day.)
As a point of decorum, I will not be alluding to the specific post or comment, but I want to reaffirm that I in no way do I condone any violence against any man, woman, or child.
In the wake of all the hate and violence that marred 2025 please take some time to be kind to someone who is different from you. Please show some kindness to minorities and groups that have been oppressed from our brothers and sisters in the LGBTQI+ Community especially our Trans brothers and sisters and Non-binary siblings and to the people in occupied lands around the world.
(edit note Thur 8th Jan) To everyone reading this now, please know I specifically did not include details about the original comment because, while I felt hurt, I did not want to add to the circumstances that led them to write it in the first place. I wish to thank everyone for their supportive comments. As someone I consider a friend has mentioned, we all come here from different walks of life and won't always agree on everything.
