The Fooocus Custom Preset Collection
Introduction
At the Pure Fooocus AI Facebook group, I created the "Quest for Depth of Field" and "Portrait Quality & Depth of Field" Guides to document image testing on the base models supplied with Fooocus, as well three others. The test images are all available in this open group so that everyone can decide for themselves: https://www.facebook.com/groups/fooocus
As a result of these tests I created the five custom presets available here - with sample images for each one, all using the same seed:
1) Default-New
2) Fantasy-New
3) Fantasy-World
4) Realistic-New
5) SAI-New
All these presets are standardized at an Aspect Ratio of 1024x1024. I like to start a Fooocus session from a known point, and then adjust the Aspect Ratio to suit the subject.
If you find any of these base models or LoRAs useful, please follow the included links and give their creators a thank you. There is amazing amount of work represented here and I am sure they would appreciate the encouragement.
The sample images use the prompt "a Inuit man walks away across the fields into a dark and stormy night. Sharp background" and the negative prompt is "blurry background, umbrella". All the optional LoRAs were enabled for each image.
1) Default-New
This new preset updates the current Fooocus Default preset from Juggernaut 8 to Juggernaut 9 XL:

Juggernaut 9 is the best base model I have found for making portraits, although it has limited depth of field - the foreground and background tend to be out of focus. This "bokeh" effect is traditional for photographic portraits.
The other difference from the Fooocus default is that the Sharpness (which is adjusted from the Advanced tab in Fooocus) is set for 6 instead of 2. In fact all of these presets default to a Sharpness of at least 6. I typically prefer to create sharp focus images, but for portraits of older subjects you may want to soften the focus.
2) Fantasy-New
This preset uses the wonderful SDXL FaeTastic base model:

The FaeTastic LoRA is switched off until needed.
This preset uses the default dpmpp_2m_sde_gpu Fooocus sampler and I use it for creating fantasy characters.
3) Fantasy-World
Using the same FaeTastic base model and LoRA provided in Fantasy-New, this preset specializes in creating fantasy scenes and landscapes. It differs from Fantasy-New in that it uses the popular dpmpp_2m (DPM++ 2M Karras) sampler which I find is better at creating deep depth of field scenery.
To enchance the depth of field, this preset also contains the Blur Control LoRA:

The combination of the FaeTastic model with the dpmpp_2m sampler and the Blur Control LoRA creates fanciful deep depth of field images that can literally reach the skies!
And finally the Black and color LoRA:

Together with the FaeTastic components, this LoRA can create some amazing effects, as shown in the sample image. The trigger words for this LoRA are "dark" or "black and color", but they are optional.
Apart from the standard Offset LoRA used in Fooocus, all the LoRAs are off by default.
4) Realistic-New
This preset uses the Realistic Vision XL base model which performed extremely well in both my depth of field and portrait quality tests. It makes very good portraits, but it also can create landscapes and other scenes that have a great depth of field, if that is the desired effect.

This model performed better with the dpmpp_2m (DPM++ 2M Karras) sampler, so that sampler is used in this preset. The default styles emphasize deep depth of field as does the included Blur Control LoRA.
Stable Diffusion images are often excessively bright, especially in nighttime scenes, so the Black and color LoRA is also included. This and the Blur Control LoRA are switched off by default.
5) SAI-New
The SAI-New preset is very similar to the original, but with the refiner switch adjusted to 0.6 from 0.75, the Sharpness increased to 6.0 and Fooocus Cinematic (which specifies "bokeh") replaced with the more generic Fooocus Enhance style.
Installation
Copy these new preset to the Fooocus/presets folder. If you are already running Fooocus, go the Model tab and click "Refresh All Files" at the bottom. Then go to the Setting tab and they should now appear in the Preset list.
When you first use these presets there may be a significant delay while Fooocus downloads any of the base models and LoRAs that are not already in you system - you can watch the progress in the console window.
