Comic Book Pencils

This is an embedding to get a comic book pencils style. One of my favorite parts of comic books is looking at the artist's pencils before the inking and coloring was done. This embedding was designed to get that look.

It's not always consistent--sometimes the images look more like ink sketches than pencil sketches--but overall it does a pretty good job of creating a comic book drawing look.

comicbookpencils is the trigger word, but its probably wise to include prompts like "pencil drawing," "pencil illustration," "pencil sketch." I also like to add comic book artists I enjoy to shape the style in different directions.

If you use hi-res fix, the upscaler has a pretty significant impact on the output. I've shared a couple of X-Y plots that show the differences between a few upscalers.

This embedding was trained on Base 1.5 so it works best with generalist models like Deliberate or Dreamshaper.
