New in V3

Version 3 could be seen as a step down in intensity from Version 2, but this is intentional for consistency, and for better organic details, like hands (there is also a way to turn it back up to 11, which I will explain in the next paragraph). Citadel V3 is a bit different under the hood, but more importantly, a lot of careful tuning went into getting something that will provide you with more reliable results.

Additionally, I have published the LORA that I created to give Citadel its look. It is called Citadel Spices. You can use the LORA to turn your favorite model into a Citadel-like hybrid, but you can also use it as a modular tool in Citadel V3, to turn up or down the intensity like a potentiometer. Fingers diarrheaing everywhere uncontrollably? Try setting Citadel Spices to a negative value, like -0.3. The LORA is baked into the model at a value of 1, so -1 will completely remove it, and anything over 0 will intensify it. And, of course, anything over 1 will greatly intensify it.

The Intent

To be a fun artistic model that has some flexibility and excels at making girls. This is the base model for my stylized "Citadel Eclipse" model. You will find a hint of fantasy sprinkled in here and there.

The Truth

It is not for everything but has a moderate amount of flexibility if you ask it nicely. It loves girls, though, and even insists on making them at times (nsfw or sfw). Additionally, success with hands is a die roll (but much better in V3). Bumping the CFG scale up or (primarily) down one or two points can work miracles on details that you may not be happy with.

The Details

The vae is no longer baked in on V2 and V3. kl-f8-anime2 is my favorite and gives it nice details and contrast, but vae-ft-mse-840000-ema-pruned can be a tad bit smoother.

It works well with pretty standard settings.

I generally generated my images thusly:

sampling method: DPM++ 2M Karras or DPM++ SDE Karras

clip skip: 2

512x912 or 512x768

cfg scale: 7 or 6

sampling steps: 30 or 40

Hires.fix:

Upscale: x2

Hires steps: 15

Denoising strength: 0.45 or 0.4

Upscaler: 4x-UltraSharp
