Today Civitai announced that it no longer offers membership purchases in any way except through crypto. That's it, folks. I will not be able to purchase a new membership. I will not continue supporting this site. This means that when my buzz runs out, that's it. No more multiple posts per day. My page will die. Civitai has ignored user feedback repeatedly. They've destroyed their platform's community through their various changes. This is it. I'm not the only one who will not be buying via crypto. Do not believe them when they say "these third party options are no longer available to us." That is literally a lie. These third party vendors did not all suddenly decide to stop. The credit card companies did not stop them. This is a choice they are making. Once again, alienating their few remaining users. Civitai, despite being a good website that we enjoy using, has changed so much that it is dead. The social media aspects of the site were ignored. The free users were ignored. The thousands of people screaming that they're destroying the site were ignored. The people paying for membership are being forced to do so through crypto. This site is dead. Which is a damn shame.
