The Magic of Ancient Tomes

Unlock the mysteries of ancient magic and arcane knowledge with Codex Arcanum, a style LoRA that brings the enchanted pages of a wizard’s spellbook, an alchemist’s guide, or a witch’s journal to life. Infused with the charm of classic grimoire illustrations and packed with fantastical detail, this model lets you craft mesmerizing images straight out of a mystical past.

Codex Arcanum transforms your prompts into beautifully worn, parchment-style pages adorned with alchemical symbols, magical flora, arcane potions, and intricate diagrams. Explore a world where handwritten notes mingle with sketches of enchanted creatures, mysterious artifacts, and spell components, making each creation feel like a relic from a forgotten era of magic.

Codex Arcanum is a one-image LoRA experiment similar to Starry Night as described in the Detailed Flux Training Guide: Dataset Preparation -- though much more of an achievement, made from only four cropped segments of a much smaller image.

Usage

To use the most recent version of the LoRA, use the following settings:

  • Trigger word: spllbkpg

  • Other tokens that work well: A textured sheet, A vibrant scroll, A vellum sheet, glowing, gems, botanical illustrations, arcane symbols, vials, potion, relic

  • Lora Strength: Full Strength (1.0) is recommended, but play with ranges from 0.8 to 1.2

For differences in previous versions, see the version notes below.

Version Notes

Version 2.0

The first version of Codex Arcanum didn't work out. But much like the Phenix featured on its pages, Version 2.0 rose from the ashes. The LoRA is surprisingly flexible and easy to use: just describe a page with whatever arcane or alchemical features you'd like, explain how the text should flow, and a nice, neat page that could be from any magical reference book appears.
