Hundreds of Lulus: Evaluating and Scoring Illustrious Checkpoints 61-80

IMPORTANT NOTE

I've done reviews on the majority of Checkpoints that are frequently available week to week to those of us that generate online versus local. I mention this because some of these models may only be available sporadically. So if you see one that you like in this post my advice would be to generate your images asap and be sure to post them directly to the model to reward the creators with more buzz.

So to provide you dear reader with a breakdown of the Illustrious Checkpoints I'm going to step through them using the exact same prompt and settings. The only LoRA I'll use with each of the checkpoints will be Lulu (aka lulu_prime).

Onto the Show

For this article I'll be posting two images from each Illustrious Checkpoint without any Hi-Res fixes or adjustments. I'll give my personal rating of ⭐,  ⭐⭐ or ⭐⭐⭐ based on the results and how likely would I use that model based simply off the two images produced. If I encounter a two star model that I'm particularly interested in exploring further I'll add a plus sign (i.e. ⭐⭐+) Where applicable I'll add in any personal thoughts or opinions on the Checkpoint.

It's hard to put my finger on it, but I feel like the clothes don't look right. Particularly the way that the fabric is falling with the shirts and skirts.

I really like the detail of the checkpoint when it comes to Lulu's hair, but at the same time it feels like the body proportions are out of alignment.

63: Praeclarus IllustriousXL ⭐⭐

I have to admit that I've been doing a lot of image generation with Noctivus the last few days. Since starting this list I've been trying to branch out and find some gems. I felt like I was getting a lot of strong results with the Checkpoint.

65: CyberRealistic CyberIllustrious Semi-Realistic ⭐

I love the hair and really dislike the posture. It seems a bit to stiff and yet again more tiny ankles.

66: CapsMergeMix ⭐⭐++

I like to think that there are particular Checkpoints that do a really good job with my personal impression of 'Classic Lulu'. I really like the shape of the face, the body proportions and the overall aesthetic.

67: Illustrious "PixelArt" from HaDeS ⭐⭐+

I've done only limited pixel art and never with Lulu. I will admit that I was really surprised at how these images turned out and just imagined a Lulu sprite sheet. I'll have to see if I can come up with a justification for using this checkpoint sometime soon.

68: SmoothMix Realism ⭐⭐+

I feel like the overall images look like they need to have a Hi-res fix to dial in the facial features. One thing I do really like is the consistency of the Lulu's since there appears to only be minor variations between their outfits.

69: Hyphoria Real [Illu] - v0.9 ⭐

Again Lulu's hair looks great, but there are just some oddities with the images. I'm not sure what's going on with middle Lulu's ass cheeks but it looks like she may need to see a specialist.

70: ChrisMix Toon - Illustrious ⭐⭐

Another 'Classical Lulu' model that does a good job rendering Lulu's face. However, I feel like the clothes and posture just look a little dull/flat.

It just seems like a number of little glitches and artifacts in the images.

I'm not positive on my feeling about this Checkpoint, but with these initial images I'd be curious in testing it out some more in the future.

I really like the texture of this Checkpoint and I feel like it stands out with a more distinct appearance than a lot of the other models I reviewed in this batch.
